Alternative Dental Care

Susan Dragoo, RDHAP began her dental career in 1981 and is licensed in California as a Registered Dental Hygienist.  She started Alternative Dental Care as a means to serve California's growing underserved, elder, homebound, and disabled communities. The goal of this practice is to reach patients that are unable to be seen in a traditional dental office setting and without care coming to them, would go without oral care.

Alternative Dental Care provides dental hygiene services by means of modern, mobile equipment.

The Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) license category of 1998 has shown that dental hygiene practices can make a difference in the quality of life for elderly disabled, and underserved populations.

Services are performed in accordance with the laws of the State of California and the California Dental Practice Act.  Alternative Dental Care will establish preventative maintenance and continuity of dental care regime, tailored individually for each patient and refers each patient to a dentist for consultation and services as needed.
